Volcano Arenal:
La Fortuna is located at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, famous for its symmetry. Because of the rich volcanic soil around, the plants and therefore the animals in the area are everywhere! There are multiple hikes around the volcano, with it being in the background basically everywhere you go.
The La Fortuna Waterfall
The La Fortuna waterfall is one of the top attractions in the area and you can even go zip lining from the top of the waterfall. In a location without a beach, along with it being one of the hottest places in the country, the waterfall is a great place for a swim.
Hot springs
Another marvel of La Fortuna is its Hot Springs. Heated by the volcano, there are multiple hot spring resort and spas in the area to go and spend a day. There are multiple pools each with a different temperature, steam and hot rooms, as well as a restaurant and bar, the day at the hot springs is suitable for the whole family.
